The Barefoot Lawyers of Uganda is a short film directed by Nikki Hausherr, that follows Winnie, a woman who decided to stand up for herself and fight back using the law. With support from Barefoot Law, which is a group that helps Ugandans access legal advice, she worked through the system and became a voice of hope in her community. The film shows how knowing your rights can be life changing and how people like Winnie, even in the face of big challenges, can create real change for themselves and those around them.
