Colorful Souls is an inspiring short film that takes place in San Juan La Laguna, Guatemala. The film follows Alma de Colores who owns a local restaurant which employs members of the community with a range of disabilities. One key member of the staff is Marta, who is a deaf cook at the restaurant and gets to work with others in a comfortable environment doing what they love. The film showcases the passion of everyone involved and inspires hope that anybody and everyone should be able to work and work on their passion. The direction style features close up shots and gets the viewer into the space forming a stronger on screen connection which reinforces the film’s message greatly.
